On June 11, more than 30,000 Chicagoians worked together with Chicago Cares to transform 32 Chicagp Public Schools into brighter, more engaging learning environments.
My Company encouraged its Associates to take a day out of their lives to help someone else. And I did.
Our Company was assigned to improve Brentano Math & Science Academy, a public school in Logan Square. We painted several hallways, stairwells, and classrooms; built several caddys and benches; painted four square and hop scotch games outside, and painted a beautiful mural in the front lobby.
More than 18,000 students will appreciate me giving up that Saturday afternoon at the beach, or the mall, to take some time and do something for someone else.
