“I Lost My Cell Phone”

How many times have you heard a friend, a family member family or even you say, “I lost my cell phone!”  Now, how many times has your friend, family member or you actually lost a cell phone?

“Losing cell phones” seems to be a growing phenomenon.  Sure, it happens, but most of the time people find their cell phone in their bed, under the floor in their car, in the bathroom or even in their pocket!

My best friend, Caitrin, probably says, “I lost my cell phone,” about ten times a day (yes Caitrin, I’m exaggerating a little bit…).    And she has NEVER actually lost it.

I lost my $300 Vu AT&T cell phone in Canada three months after I bought it.  It made me think twice when I hear people say, “I lost my cell phone.”  Chances are, they really mean, “I misplaced my cell phone. Can you help me find it?

I really lost my cell phone.  Where is it? My guess is some Canadian made some good money by selling it on e-bay.

Are you guilty of saying this phrase?
